AvtoVAZ says sales plummet by 46% to 188,645 in 2022

MOSCOW, Jan 10 (PRIME) -- The sales of Russia’s largest car producer AvtoVAZ decreased by 46% to 188,645 Lada cars in 2022, the company said in a statement on Tuesday.

According to the company, overall car and light commercial vehicle sales in Russia slumped by 59% to 676,000. As a result, AvtoVAZ raised its market share by 7 percentage points to 27.9%.

Exports of the Lada cars declined by 52% to 17,000 in 2022 and are planned to grow to 30,000 in 2023, the company said.
